Developing a way to secure your devices with the rationale to back them up

Problem

Kolide, is a device security SaaS company that ensures only secured Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android devices can connect to an organization's applications. Kolide needed to add thoughtful capacity to their engineering team for their core product development, while also adding new technology capabilities to build new products, such as a mobile app.

Solution

The Gnar Company embedded engineers within the Kolide team to develop new features and improve existing features in their Ruby on Rails core product, as well as build and launch mobile and desktop apps to monitor and register devices with Kolide.

Results

The Kolide mobile app launched and is now live in both Google Play and Apple App Stores. It allows users to access resources and SaaS apps that are protected by Kolide and identity providers, keeping device information secure. In February of 2024 Kolide was acquired by 1Password.
