Making “data driven decisions” is the new standard in business today. Unfortunately, an employees’ ability to interpret and use data effectively (i.e., their data literacy) vary widely. In fact, most organizations massively overestimate how data literate their people are: 84% of businesses think employees have high or very high levels of data fluency, while only 10% of those users consider themselves data fluent. The lack of data literacy impacts many aspects of business but is especially important to consider when designing custom applications for employees or customers.
